Coats are not only necessary during these cold and frigid Winter months, but also a fashion statement and staple. That's why I thought it might be fun for me to share with you some of my favorite styles of coats and also how I select to wear them. Below I have broken them down into sub-categories. There are many different varieties of coats- from cuts, to fabrics to even the design and fit. Hopefully you can find some ideas from this post! ;)
These coats are usually cut longer. They're softer. And certainly comfortable. I love sweater coats because they are easy to wear, pair with most everything and still look dressed up. All while keeping you warm and cozy. I enjoy pairing them mostly with leggings and ankle boots.
These coats tend to have more refined details. Like the black one above, with the leather sleeves from Zara. It's my absolute favorite coat in my closet. I purchased it a few Winters ago, though I found a similar style here.
Blazers turned coats. Bigger, longer, warmer. I go for checked patterns or houndstooth. Even in velvet. I also look for neutral colors that pair well with darker garments. Such as gray or charcoal like this one here. They look great with jeans, leggings and thigh high boots. Just add a wool hat for good measure. ;)
One of the more obvious choices for Winter. Always chic, on trend, and definitely keeps the chill away. I like faux fur in all sort of colors. From cream to soft browns and everything in between. Long or short. If if it fits me well, it's going into my collection! ;)
Hopefully you enjoyed my journey (and collection) of coats! ;)
