Since you seemed to like my last recipe post for my favorite smoothie. I thought I would share some more with you guys. My Mom taught me this recipe a few summers ago. It's really easy. And if you are lactose intolerant, you can try this one for sure. As it is more of an icy drink than a smoothie. All you need is strawberries, orange juice, lots of ice and sugar. I recently started adding some chunks of watermelon into, for an added tasty treat. My husband weighed in and said to keep the watermelon as part of this new recipe. I have to say I agree. ;)
6-8 large Strawberries, halved
1-1.5 Cups Ice
1 glass of Orange Juice (no pulp)
2 Tablespoons of Sugar
2 Medium sized pieces of Watermelon
Throw all of the ingredients into the blender (ice and water first) and blend until all combined.
Pour into glass(es) and serve!
