"Recipe" Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

How do we attempt to beat the summer heat in North Carolina? With smoothies, of course! I remember last Summer, when Smoothie King opened up nearby. Being originally from Miami, smoothies were a staple. I missed my Angel Food (strawberry & banana smoothie from Smoothie King) with a passion. We must have spent 1K on smoothies last year. WHAT? Now that my blender has become my best friend, I am making us delicious smoothies every day. I have plenty of recipes to share. Today though, I'll start with my "Angel Food" made at home. If you love strawberries and bananas you are in for a sweet treat. I sometimes have one of these instead of lunch. So refreshing and packed with enough protein to get me through the afternoon. Perfect! :)

INGREDIENTS:

1 Banana, cut into chunks

1 cup Strawberries, Hulled and halved

1 cup Ice

6 oz. Vanilla Yogurt

1 Cup 2% Milk

1/2 tablespoon Honey* (0r 2 Tablespoons of Sugar)

A pinch of Cinnamon* (optional)*

.

DIRECTIONS:

Throw all of the ingredients into the blender (ice and water first) and blend until all combined.

Pour into glass(es) and serve!

ENJOY! ;)
